Do I have a chance to test drive the vehicle before I purchase?
AllCars does not offer a typical dealership test drive — we believe we offer something even better. From the day your vehicle is delivered, you get a full 8 days or 250 miles (whichever comes first) to get to know your car.
Drive it around, check out the leg room, make sure everything fits — and confirm it’s right for you. If it’s not, we’ll take it back and refund the purchase price. Isn’t that better than a limited dealership test drive?
Are the cars listed on your website inspected? How do I know if a vehicle is in good condition?
We will not sell you a car that we wouldn’t sell to someone in our own family. We mean this.
Our experts check over 130 vehicle inspection points and, if needed, fix the vehicle before it is delivered to you. Each vehicle must be in good condition — or we will not sell it.
We believe in full transparency into the history of our vehicles, including whether there is an open safety recall. On the car detail page we show vehicle history and provide a way to get a complete vehicle history report.

How do I know I'm getting a fair price?
Because our pricing is data-driven, based on AllCars True Values, we do not inflate prices in anticipation of negotiation the way traditional dealerships do. This means everyone receives the same fair price for every vehicle listed on our site. Our Value Meter on the car detail page shows you this value.
Our cost structure is also lower because AllCars is not a traditional dealer — we have no showrooms or retail overhead. We work smart so we can pass savings on to you.

How does direct online buying of a car work?
First, search and select your next vehicle! On that vehicle’s detail page, select the purchase button and answer a few questions before making a deposit to hold the car. The information collected includes:
- Personal information — legal name, address, telephone number, and delivery address
- Trade-in information — whether you wish to trade in a vehicle and the estimated trade-in value
- Financing option — finance with AllCars, third-party financing, or no financing needed
- Protection plans — select an affordable protection plan that fits your needs
After reviewing your information, place your order and make your deposit. We will contact you to arrange delivery right to you. You then have a full 8 days or 250 miles (whichever comes first) to return the vehicle if it doesn’t work out for any reason.
Can I get financing if I buy a vehicle online? How do I pay for my vehicle?
Yes, financing is available. There are three ways to pay for your vehicle:
- Finance through AllCars. We have trusted partners who offer low rates and our application process is easy. The majority of customers prefer to finance through us.
- Finance with your own bank. You will need an existing approval. You may need to take extra steps, such as visiting a bank branch to sign the loan document.
- Pay in full. Funds will be transferred directly from your bank account via a secure ACH bank transfer.
If you have a trade-in, AllCars will apply that amount toward the payment of your next vehicle after the paperwork is complete.
